I have a 4 month old American Pit bull puppy who is the sweetest puppy ever. She is very social and loves attention from everyone. Ive noticed though whenever my partner and I take her out on walks she always barks at other dogs. Her barking really isn’t aggressive but sometimes with bigger dogs it can sound aggressive. A few people have said it sounds like she wants to initiate playing with the other dog but she is just going about it the wrong way by barking. We have tried telling her firmly “No barking” when she sees another dog and when she doesn’t bark we praise her. Still though with big dogs she does bark. How can I stop her? Is a muzzle appropriate for her barking when we go out?
