How to Stop My Neighbors Dog From Barking Every Time I Pass?

Every day at 6 am and at 11 pm I have to pass next to my neighbors fence and his dog starts barking like crazy. It is a very stressful situation and I also feel bad for the other neighbors who are asleep. Any suggestions?
