Every day at 6 am and at 11 pm I have to pass next to my neighbors fence and his dog starts barking like crazy. It is a very stressful situation and I also feel bad for the other neighbors who are asleep. Any suggestions?

A couple of nice, long doses of pepper spray should clear that problem right up.
Maybe tell your neighbors to control their dog
Try to talk to the dog a bit… go down on your knees and let it smell you to know your not dangerous. Scratch behind its ears or on its cheeks.
Dogs have an instinct to protect their property, so the dog will bark at you no matter what. Just ignore it, don’t look it in the eye, and keep calmly walking past. Either the dog will learn to ignore you, or it will be persistent and keep barking.
give it a dog biscuit everytime

There’s nothing you can do about it. Sounds to me like this is a dog that lives outside and is also bored. If the dog starts barking, ignore the dog or say something to the owners. This is something the owners need to work on themselves. If they don’t start taking better care of their dog, neighbors are going to say something to the owner. But if I were you, I wouldn’t worry about it so much. It’s not your dog and not your problem.
Why don’t you get to know the dog? My one neighbor is HORRIBLE and my dog hates her! So, of course when she is out, the dog goes nuts! But on the other side, we have great neighbors and our dog loves them and we have no issues with them…they can walk right in and no barking. So, it’s all about getting to know your neighbor’s dog…try that first and see if it helps. Otherwise, try a different route.
Well if the dog looks angry, then do not listen to what I have to say.
I would ask your neighbors to start a relationship with their dog if it’s okay with them of course.
MAKE SURE IT’S NOT AN ANGRY DOG!
You shouldn’t feel bad. That’s the dog owner’s problem. It shouldn’t even be stressing you out. The neighbors need to take issue with the dog owner if they are complaining. You have every right to walk in a public place at anytime. If you have to use that route, use it. The owner doesn’t care about the neighbors as you can see, or the owner would call the dog in or not let it out at those times. Forget it and do what you have to do.
Pepper spray? No. That’ll make the dog even crazier.
Try throwing a treat to the dog as you go past. You don’t have to do that every time, just once in a while. Dog is just doing what he sees as his job, warning his owner that there’s a stranger close by.
Have a word with the neighbours. Tell them what ia happening every day and that it is beginning to really stress you out and that you want it to stop.
Just as human language is multifaceted and multipurpose, barking allows a dog to communicate many different messages in a variety of situations. It can signal a request to an owner (”Hey, I want to go outside!”), impart a warning (”You’re in my territory!”), or simply serve to amuse when a dog has little else to do.
