file a barking dog complaint with the police, theyll find an interpertor to explain for them…

  4. rinku says:

throwing a peace of meat or by letting a female dog inside

Try to be friendly with the dog and the neighbors. Find someone to help communicate with the neighbors so everyone can work as a team to resolve the problem. Dogs are trainable but consistency is the key.

Without harming it ‘too’ badly? So you’re wanting to hurt it a bit?!
Find someone that speaks their language, or learn a couple of sentences in their language.

Try and find a translator engine thingy on line and type up what you ahve to say in english and translate it in your neighbours language and then print it and post it. At least then they know you have a problem with it. If nothing is done, ring the local dog warden and ask what you can do about it. The dog is just protecting its property.

try calling the animal control or something and tell them to have the dog “fixed”.. or u could just tell ur neighbours :P

Do they know their dog barks incessantly?

Fair enough there a language barrior, what do they speak? Try to approach (friendly manner) with a phrase book and try to explain. If that doesn’t at least start a dialogue they only other optionis the local ranger/animal control. Explain the situation to them. They have procedure to follow some of which (in Australia) is working with the owners to stop the barkingwithin a set time frame up to fines etc for non compliance. The interpretation issue is the officers problem then not yours.

Most people prefer to be approached in a hey we live next to each other and my chickens and ears are really troubled by barking. Did you know that Poochie barked all day yesterday and has been doing so for weeks/months whatever? Can you look into why? and try to calm him. Thanks

Do not try to stop him yourself, probably make him bark worse and at least in Australia, illegal to trespass etc.

Things the owners can try, change of fencing, window for a whos there barker, a second interior fence for a get away from my patch barker, and there are many collars from citrinella spray to mild shock on barking (these give a warning beep then a shock/spray if they ignore the beep.)

Maybe you could get one and present it as a neighbourly gift with a by the way note (I would still try the talking point first) Do they not speak english or not understand it at all? Charades are very good. Maybe a tape of the barking and a antibark collar as a gift would work? With a heartfealt PLEASE
