The neighbors will probably not be willing to put the anti-bark collars on their dogs. Many, not all,dog owners believe they are evil and bad as they shock the dog when it barks. You can try consulting a mediator. Personally,I would recommend ear plugs, background white noise(like a fan) or something to control YOUR environment. If you are worried about hearing a morning alarm clock there is an option of a vibrating watch to wake you. I honestly wish you the best of luck! I'm proud of you for not considering any "permanent" solutions to the barking problem. Good Luck!

The ultra sonic ones that create a 'bark-free' zone can work. However, every dog is different, and not all of them respond to the same deterrents. I'd say go ahead and try it, but make sure you get it from someplace that will let you return it if it doesn't work for the obnoxious dogs next door.

Also, to help keep them from waking you up, you might consider a 'white noise' of some kind to help drown the dogs out. A fan, static on the radio, there are also white noise machines available. Ear plugs can also help.

I know you probably don't want to modify your own sleeping arrangements to combat barking dogs, but it may not be a simple one action = sollution situation.
